Sauteed Broccoli. This recipe for sautéed broccoli is a simple dinner side dish. The tender greens are brightened with garlic, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice.
Heat a large pot of salted water to a boil. Prepare a bowl of salted ice water. Remove the stalks from the broccoli and cut it into 1/2-inch florets. Cut the stalks into 1/4-inch thick slices after peeling them.
Place the broccoli in a pot of boiling water cook the broccoli until crisp-tender. Remove from the boiling water and immediately immerse in ice water. Remove from the ice water and set aside to dry. It can be used right away or saved for later.
