Sauteed Broccoli. This recipe for sautéed broccoli is a simple dinner side dish. The tender greens are brightened with garlic, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice.

Ingredients
  • 2 pinches Kosher Salt (to taste)
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 ounces Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 pound broccoli
  • 1 ounce white wine
  • 1/2 lemon

    Heat a large pot of salted water to a boil. Prepare a bowl of salted ice water. Remove the stalks from the broccoli and cut it into 1/2-inch florets. Cut the stalks into 1/4-inch thick slices after peeling them.

    Place the broccoli in a pot of boiling water cook the broccoli until crisp-tender. Remove from the boiling water and immediately immerse in ice water. Remove from the ice water and set aside to dry. It can be used right away or saved for later.

  3. Sauteed broccoli
    In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the oil when ready to serve. 3 minutes after adding the garlic, saute until golden. Sauté for another 30 seconds with the chili flakes and add the wine. Toss in the broccoli and cook for 2 to 3 minutes over high heat, tossing frequently. Add salt and pepper to taste. squeeze some lemon juice and serve. Enjoy!
