  1. Place the clams in a bowl of cold water to soak and set them aside.
    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat and season with salt until it tastes like the sea. Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook for 8 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente. In a large sauté pan, heat 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat until it is shimmering. Add the garlic to the pan and cook until the garlic is golden and fragrant about 3 minutes. add the clams rinsed and drained Add the crushed red pepper and salt and pepper, to taste, and cook for 30 more seconds. Add the white wine to the pan, cover, and steam the clams until they open, for about 6-10 minutes, depending on their size.

  2. When the spaghetti is al dente, add it to the pan with the clam sauce and toss to coat. Add pasta water to the pan if need it, about 2 tablespoons at a time, until the sauce is the consistency you want.  and top with the chopped parsley. Toss gently to combine all of the ingredients and serve your spaghetti alle vongole while it's still hot.
