To make the croutons, melt the butter and olive oil in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. When the butter has melted completely, add the garlic and 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt. To combine, carefully swirl the pan. Allow the garlic to infuse the oil mixture for 10 minutes.

.Place the bread on a baking sheet. Pour the garlic mixture evenly over the bread and toss to coat. Bake the bread in a single layer for 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
