Italian Antipasto. The typical first course of a formal Italian supper is antipasto. Cured meats, olives, peperoncini, mushrooms, anchovies, artichoke hearts, various cheeses, pickled meats, and vegetables in oil or vinegar are typical antipasto elements.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Eggplant Caponata

  • 2 lg Grilled Portobello mushrooms

  • 2 lg Roasted Red Pepper sliced

  • 1 cup Tomato bruschetta mix

  • 1/4 lb thin sliced prosciutto

  • 1/4 lb sliced Soppressata Piccante

  • 1/4 lb thin sliced Mortadella

  • 1/4 lb Gorgonzola Dolce

  • 1/2 lb Ciliegine fresh mozzarella

  • 1/4 lb sharp Provolone

  • 1 loaf sliced of rustic Italian bread

Directions

  • Use a large round or oval serving tray to arrange all of the ingredients for easy picking up by your guests. Serve with toasted Italian bread and a bottle of red wine. Enjoy!
